Application: Used in three-way catalysts, the glass, ceramic and electronic industries; for manufacturing precision optical glass and optical fibers. Also applied in the electronic industry as ceramic capacitors and a dopant for piezoelectric ceramics. It is also used as a raw material for producing lanthanum boride, and as a catalyst for petroleum separation and refining.
